"I DID IT!!!"
True, they ain't all that pretty or uniform but they will keep my hair very nicely protected underneath my wig for the next 5 days. I am very proud of myself that my first attempt went so well and that they took less than 30mins to complete.

You did a great job as a first time braider. You accomplished the goal you set out for (neat set of cornrows to go under wig). You'll learn to grip and tighten them better with more practice.
ReplyDeleteWOW you did a great job! I'd be so psyched to be able to cornrow like that. Congrats! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies,
ReplyDeleteYour comments are so encouraging...!
I am so pleased I've managed to do it. Now that I know it's possible for me to put them in I'll be able to concentrate on making them much tighter and neater.

yay! I love wearing my hair cornrowed under wigs, I normally remove them on wash day to rock a big braid out, and it is always so pretty because the braids have been in for a week! Good job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ebony Princess
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the braid-out....I might try that n future and possibly rock a faux-bob with the braid-out textured hair. Not for now though, it's f-r--e---eeeeee-eeezing coldin the UK right about now. I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to getting my wig on this morning after going a week without it - and no hat!!
