I Big Chopped!!!

"Ain't nothing much worth blogging about been going on with my hair - but this right here I had to pop in and tell you."

I big chopped last night (10.01.15) and I couldn't be happier.

I will come back with a full blog post about my 18 month transition from texlaxed to natural along with images from my big chop and hopefully a short video.

Right now, I am off to make a list of a few products (a box of dye being right at the top of that list!!)  and I also need to invest in an afro pic! I'm really excited and looking forward to learning about my natural hair...so I'm sure I'll be back to blogging regularly now I have some hair to play with.

I'm loving this!

Oh wow, thank you!!! I am definitely embracing this new look. I would wear it to work like this tomorrow if it wasn't for the greys...!

The thickness of my hair has shocked me, I always thought it was thin in strands and density but it actually looks and feels thick in its natural state.

  8. Looking good! Are you bleaching it lighter or colouring it darker?

Be sure to check the lables. If it contains peroxide it might alter your curl pattern. It happened to me. It almost gave a textlaxed feeling.

  9. @Lisa Thanks for the heads up! I am dyeing the greys to my natural colour, I'm even considering selecting just the greys and dyeing those individualy!!

Do you have any suggestions of dyes?

Haha, probably because I haven't blogged in ages....

Thank you so much! My hair feels so much healthier now - still shedding though but much less - I need to restart those tea or coffee rinses next wash day.
