Tension Dry Naturals

So I just did my first Hair Day Sunday and Co wash, I was so happy with the result that I decided to to try tension drying too to make the new growth more manageable for the week ahead.

Usually I would only let me hair dry naturally if I was planning to wear it curly and would blow dry using a paddle brush if I wanted it straight but with my new hair routine I want to dramatically reduce the amount of heat I use. To achieve this after I had put olive oil on my hair, I smoothed it down and scooped it into a bun at the nape of my neck.

It literally took all day to dry which was fine as we had a lazy day at home but this wouldn't be ideal on a normal day however I was really impressed with the end results. It wasn't too dissimilar to blow drying except the ends were still quite kinky but I was pleased with the results and will continue to use this tension method for now on, I am not sure how effective it will be once I have more regrowth but only time will tell.

Love Carissa x
