Wash Day Diary 25.01.12

"After 4 days of wearing my hair out and straight I really wanted to give my hair a moisture boost so decided to bring forward my wash day by one day."

I wanted to do a chelating wash as I normally do as my first wash after a relaxer, but I didn't have any ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo with me so I decided to do a clarifiying wash instead with my Bee Mine Shampoo Bar.

These are the steps I followed:

I now always use my shower filter head to wash my hair.

1.  Parted hair in two sections.

2.  Pre-poo'd with EVCO and honey mixture and left on my hair for approx 45mins.

3.  Rinse out pre-poo.

4.  Shampoo with Roux Porosity Control Shampoo (1 lather).  Rinse.

5.  Shampoo with Bee Mine Clarifying Shampoo Bar (1 lather). Rinse.

6.  Applied Lustrasilk Shea Butter and Mango Cholesterol mixed with a little Roux Porosity Control Conditioner and Corrector.  Rinse.

7.  Put T-Shirt on my head to soak up excess moisture.

8.  After 7 mins, apply deep conditoner of ORS Replenishing Conditioner, mixed with a little Silk Amino Acid powder.  I left this on for nearly 2hrs without heat.  Rinse.

9. Put T-Shirt on hair again to soak up excess moisture. This time my hair felt really wet and heavy, I think this is the work of the SAA and I must say....like it!!!

10.  Applied liquid leave ins, Elasta QP H2, Infusion 23 followed by Giovanni Direct Leave In and sealed with Organix Coconut Serum.  I was very naughty and went out (in the cold!) with WET HAIR (!!!!) straight after applying my leave ins.  My hair was only 10-20% dry so I'm sure I know somebody  who will be catching a cold sometime real soon!  DOH

11.  When I got home I took out my loose bun and airdried with a satin scarf around my shoulders to protect my ends from rubbing against my cardigan.

12.  Once dry I applied some Bee Mine Deja's Hair Milk, a little more Giovanni Direct Leave In, Organix Serum and a tiny bit of grapeseed oil and then put my hair into bantu knots so my hair has a smooth texture to work with over the next few days before my cowash at the weekend.

I must say, every time I reach for the bottle of ORS I get this sense of boredom.  I love trying out new products but I am determined to stick to using just this product for my deep conditioning purposes both on dry or wet hair.  Even though I feel bored  using it, I am NEVER disappointed in the results I get.  This stuff is flipping FANTASTIC!!!

I also just realised that I never uploaded any relaxer results pics (probably cos I didn't take any!) but I suppose 5 days post still counts.  Below are some texture shots of my hair when wet.  I am loving the results so much.  My hair feels soooooo much better right now.  Hopefully I'll start making some real progress soon.

My HAIR after removing the T-Shirt after washing my hair today

Below are a couple of pics taken of my hair yesterday.  The texture of my hair has changed so much since my corrective relaxer.  It responds and behaves much better and I still have a good amount of texture in my strands so I am a really happy bunny right now.
